ABOUT THIS SEMINAR

The April 24, 2025 Immigration Practitioner Centre Continuing Professional Development Seminar is the second of four Economic/Provincial Nominee Seminars to provide overviews and updates related to Federal Economic and Provincial Nominee Immigration Programs. Each seminar is four hours long. The first seminar was held on January 23, 2025. We have scheduled the remaining two Economic/Provincial Nominee Seminars for August 21 and October 23.

Howard Greenberg

Economic/Provincial Nominee Programs - Winners and Losers: Overview and Updates 


Howard Greenberg, in collaboration with Naumaan Hameed, established Greenberg Hameed PC—a firm that introduces an innovative approach to immigration services. Howard specializes in providing strategic advice on immigration law to multinational corporations, drawing upon his extensive 30 years of experience in facilitating the entry of foreign workers into Canada.

Howard has been a featured speaker at various prominent legal events, including the International Bar Association Conference, the Canadian Employment Relocation Council Conference, the Law Society of Upper Canada Annual Immigration Law Summit, the Canadian Bar Association National Citizenship & Immigration Conference, Insight, the Canadian Institute, and the Engineering Human Resources Association.

In addition to his legal practice, Howard previously served as a part-time lecturer on Corporate Immigration Advocacy at the University of Ottawa Faculty of Law.

Pushkar Prehar is an associate lawyer at Greenberg Hameed PC, a distinguished immigration law firm. He is a dual-qualified lawyer licensed to practice law in India and Canada (ON).

He has been involved in complex litigations before the Federal Court, challenging visa refusals of various categories, including temporary and permanent resident visas, Start-Up Business Class, family class sponsorships, and inadmissibility (medical, criminal, among others).

Pushkar specializes in high-risk, previously refused cases. He is actively involved in challenging the use of artificial intelligence and addressing procedural fairness issues associated with it.

Pushkar contributes to diversity and inclusion in the practice of law. As an immigrant, he is attuned to the issues faced by newcomers and makes advanced submissions before Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada, as well as the Federal Court. 

Spartak Gabroshvili

Ontario Provincial Nominee Program: Overview and Updates


Spartak Gabroshvili currently serves as a Program Integrity Specialist at the Ontario Immigration Nominee Program. He has been practicing immigration law since 2019, initially in private practice as a Licensed Immigration Consultant and Licensed Paralegal. With more than five years of experience, his focus has been on handling complex immigration applications, including LMIA, PR, H&C, and various PNPs. Over the past two years, he has conducted thorough reviews of immigration files to ensure that all eligibility requirements and clients' personal circumstances were considered. He holds a Master of Law degree from Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University in Ukraine and is presently pursuing a PhD in International Law and Legal Studies. His studies at Humber College in Canada enabled him to obtain qualifications as both a Paralegal and an Immigration Consultant.

Neha Batta is a seasoned Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC-IRB) with several years of experience navigating the complexities of Canadian immigration law. She holds a Certificate in Immigration: Law, Policies, and Procedures from the University of British Columbia and a Master’s degree in Technology.

Neha is the owner of Orion Immigration Services, and with a deep understanding of Canadian immigration policies and procedures, she provides consulting services to individuals, families, and businesses on a wide range of immigration matters. Over the past 17+ years, she has acquired extensive knowledge and experience in various domains, including Education, Customer Service, Aerospace, Customer Experience Management, Banking, and E-commerce.

As an immigrant herself, Neha understands the challenges of moving to a new country and the emotional weight it carries. She approaches each case with empathy and understanding, recognizing the profound impact immigration decisions can have on her clients' lives.

Beyond her work as an immigration consultant, Neha is actively involved in the immigration and immigrant communities. Breaking barriers, encouraging women to pursue careers in Technology, mentoring women to grow into leadership positions at work, and integrating immigrants into the Canadian work environment are some of the causes Neha is passionate about.

Benton has worked in immigration from every angle—as a visa officer posted to Canadian missions all over the world, as a manager with the BC Provincial Nominee Program, as a volunteer for nongovernmental organizations, and as an immigration lawyer. He brings this unique blend of real-world experience to the table to support his clients with informed, innovative advice. Benton focuses his practice on clients from the Fraser Valley, Vancouver Island, BC’s Interior, and beyond.
