ABOUT THIS SEMINAR

The February 6, 2025 Immigration Practitioner Centre Continuing Professional Development Seminar will be the first of two Professionalism and Business Management Seminars. Each seminar will be two hours long. The second date we have scheduled for Part Two is October 9, 2025.

It is essential for RCICs to understand the importance of maintaining professionalism when serving clients and interacting with the public. Immigration plays a critical role in business management, both today and in the future.

Currently, challenges are being felt not only within immigration practices but also by Canadian businesses. These challenges stem from factors such as temporary and permanent caps, limited processing pathways, and increasing backlogs in application processing.

Our first Professionalism and Business Management Seminar is entitled ‘Professionalism and Business Management Part One’. Each seminar will feature two speakers addressing the following topics:

  • Marketing One’s Immigration Practice

  • The Role of Immigration in Business Management

This will be followed by a panel discussion comprised of both presenters with a Question and Answer session to end the seminar.

If you’re looking at accessing Continuing Professional Development Seminars related to Professionalism and Business Management in 2025, then, don’t miss our two seminars on February 6 and October 9.

Pre-approved for 2 CPD hours by the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants & approved by Law Society of BC.

Keshav Sharma

RCIC

Marketing One’s Immigration Practice

As the Founder & CEO, Keshav Sharma leads a team of professionals at ELAAR IMMIGRATION to provide strategic advice and representation to clients on all Canadian immigration matters.  Keshav Sharma has worked in senior management positions in the media and education sectors in both India and Canada for more than 20 years. It was when he went through his own immigration journey in 2010 that Keshav found a deeper passion – helping others with what can often be the biggest change in their life – immigrating to a new country.

With a Bachelor of Commerce, Master of Business Administration, and a licence to practice as a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant, Keshav applies experience, critical thinking and compassion to help others realize their vision of coming to Canada. He experienced the complexity of the immigration process – even for well-educated, informed professionals – and wanted to simplify it for individuals starting a new life in a similar way to how he previously simplified marketing activities to make businesses successful.

Keshav uses his skills and experience to assess the wide range of programs available for immigrants to determine the best fit. It is a detailed and painstaking activity, but one Keshav is familiar with and passionate about. He knows each immigrant has a different story and he combines that personal information with his own expertise to ensure a successful process.

With his keen interest in the immigration field, Keshav stays on top of changes and developments in the sector because he knows how deeply the ripple effects of the process run across a family. Through ELAAR Immigration Consulting, Keshav is able to impart his knowledge and extend his respect for the journey others take while helping them through it.
