ABOUT THIS SEMINAR

The January 9, 2025 Immigration Practitioner Centre Continuing Professional Development Seminar’s Event Title is ‘International Experience Canada – International Mobility Program Work Permits’.

The International Experience Canada – International Mobility Program usually opens officially at the start of each year in January. In light of the fact that there is a quota or target on nationals of participating countries and for those applying through recognized organizations – the quotas/targets are usually met within a limited time frame.

It is very important for RISIAs and RCICs to recognize that the demand greatly exceeds the supply, and it is imperative to monitor the International Experience Canada on behalf of one’s clients.

The International Experience Program provides many temporary foreign nationals with the ability to gain their initial work experience in the Canadian labour market with the possibility of later gaining a future offer of employment

Our speaker, Ms. Katie Laughlin, RCIC shall present a two-hour presentation to provide a comprehensive overview of the International Experience Canada Program.

She will be presenting the following topics:
  • Part 1: Recognized Organizations; Participation Categories – Working Holiday, International Co-Op Internship, and Young Professionals; Quotas/Targets; Open and Closed Work Permits; and Participation Parameters – Repeat Participation and Spouses/Couples; and

  • Part 2: Participating Countries/Bilateral Agreements; Eligibility Requirements; Dual Citizenship; Medical Examinations, Police Certificates, and Language Test Results; Application Processes and Portal; Processing Time Frames and Processing Fees.

Pre-approved for 2 CPD hours by the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants & approved by Law Society of BC.
