MEET THE SPEAKERS

Alex Stojicevic

LAWYER

Updates for Proposed Changes to Economic Programs

The child of refugees, Alex Stojicevic co-founded MKS Immigration Lawyers in 2002 after training under one of Canada’s pioneering immigration lawyers. When he's not devising innovative solutions to complex immigration challenges, you might find him teaching immigration law, volunteering in senior roles with the national lawyers' organization, or running the occasional marathon. With an uncanny ability to recall every fact he's ever learned, it's safe to say you'd never want to face him in a game of Trivial Pursuit.

Alexandra Callinan

LAWYER

Updates for Specialty Economic Programs

Alexandra Callinan has been a lawyer since 2019. Prior to attending law school, she worked at the Operations Support Centre and the Case Management Branch at the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship (IRCC) national headquarters in Ottawa. Currently, Alexandra is an Associate at Mamann Sandaluk & Kingwell LLP, where her practice primarily focuses on corporate immigration matters.

Alexandra's dedication to her clients, her practice, and her role as an educator are inspired by her years of experience working at the IRCC, as well as her own family's journey as immigrants and refugees coming to Canada.

Spartak Gabroshvili

RCIC, Paralegal, Notary Public

Updates for Processing Options for Ukrainian Nationals

Spartak Gabroshvili currently serves as a Program Integrity Specialist at the Ontario Immigration Nominee Program. He has been practicing immigration law since 2019, initially in private practice as a Licensed Immigration Consultant and Licensed Paralegal. With more than five years of experience, his focus has been on handling complex immigration applications, including LMIA, PR, H&C, and various PNPs. Over the past two years, he has conducted thorough reviews of immigration files to ensure that all eligibility requirements and clients' personal circumstances were considered. He holds a Master of Law degree from Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University in Ukraine and is presently pursuing a PhD in International Law and Legal Studies. His studies at Humber College in Canada enabled him to obtain qualifications as both a Paralegal and an Immigration Consultant.
